Sunday Challege - My Pink Stamper
http://www.mypinkstamper.com/
Sunday Challenge: If you are a scrapbooker, scrap something about your family using flowers or make a Springy card to give to someone!
I didn't do a scrapbook page, but I did make a Springy belated birthday card for a friend.
Happy Craftin' !

Happy Friday!! Happy Spring!!
I have decided to create a new series of videos called "Friday Finds" where I will give an overview of a couple of websites where I think crafters can get some great online deals.
This week I am highlighting two sites:

Artist Trading Cards
I just discovered Artist Trading Cards and they are cool!
Here are a couple that I experimented with...
Drop me a comment if you have tried them also. I would love to see them!
Enjoy & Happy Craftin'

Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (6cm X 9cm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold.

Birthday time!
It is my son's 16th Birthday coming up and here are the invites, gift bags and sign that I made. Since these were for Teen Boys, I had to refrain myself from making them too Girly!!
St. Valentine's Day gift boxes....
I am participating in a St. Valentine's Day Progressive Dinner with a group of friends and this is what I made for all the women.
The boxes were cut out with my Cricut using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. I used a 12" x 12" sheet of paper and pressed the fill paper option. It was able to cut 2 boxes per page... very easy!! After I assembled them, I put a couple of pieces of Hershey's Nuggets inside.
SO Cute!

Craft + Kids = Awesome fun!
I had the most wonderful day crafting with my niece, Claudia. She is 9 yrs old and very creative. We decided to make Valentine cards for her class (sorry, forgot to take pics) and I was able to introduce her to the CuttleBug... well I think I have created a monster! She just loved it!!
Why is it that when we get around children that we just get more creative?? Not sure about you, but I know I do. I can't wait to have more craft days and we are already thinking about Christmas cards that we can make!
Grab some supplies, sit down with a child and craft!!

I created Door Signs for my upstairs using my Cricut Expression.
BATH & GUEST were created with Plantin SchoolBook
EVAN (my cool son) was created with Plantin SchoolBook and Indie Art {guitar1}
All have the colors black and red with various patterned paper for the letters.
Looks very cool on the doors!

Just thinkin'....
I am trying to find my craftin' voice and not sure which direction I should go...
"A Craft a Week"?
"A medium a Month"?
"My views of the best craft sites"?
Hmmm....
For now I will dabble in several areas and write what I am "Just thinkin'..."
Today I am just thinkin' about "Make the Cut!"...
It really is a amazing addition to my card making tools. I was able to download free fonts from the web to use and this is the best site I found: http://www.acidfonts.com/ Very cool fonts to use!
As far as using "Make the Cut!" I wasn't really sure how to get the really intricate fonts to cut out but then I discovered...
Layering
Once you type your text, highlight then select Shape Magic =>; Layering. After you do that you can click and separate the two sections (the bottom and the top). Cut the two layers in separate color very much like Cricut Layers. Very easy... Very cool!! I also discovered that not only text but webdings can be done this way and it really opens up what you can now cut with your Cricut.
